I look forward to our Santa Photos event each year! The 2023 Santa Photos Event is on the books! This is such a magical time for children and it’s a highlight of the year for us here at Sarah Gray Photography.

If you’re wanting beautiful, classic, simple, minimalist photos with Santa, this is the event for you.

SANTA PHOTOS EVENT DETAILS

  • each session includes 5 minutes for pictures with Santa and 3 digital files to download and print on your own.  i know from experience this is enough time to have magical interactions and create great photos.
  • You must fill out a questionnaire before your session so that Santa can prepare and tailor the experience for your child
  • photos will be ready within 2 weeks of the event date with your images delivered in an online preview gallery for sharing, downloading your included 3 images.
  • I’ll be a fly on the wall photographing your child’s interaction with Santa and then we’ll do some directed pictures with the man in red.
  • Photos with Santa are just for the kids. If you’re interested in taking advantage of this beautiful location and time to update your family photo, keep reading. 😉
  • because of the nature of these sessions, there are no reshoots or refunds for late arrival/uncooperative kids.
  • santa is a 30+ year registered nurse, excellent with children, and will prepare for your child ahead of time.
  • families with more than 4 children must schedule two sessions for longer time with Santa.
  • NEW ADD-ON Family Photo Option for this year! Based on feedback from many families, we have added the option to add-on a family picture to your Santa session during your reservation process. Please note that the family picture will only include immediate family members and does not include Santa. Additionally, you can combine digital files from both the family and Santa sessions during your ordering appointment.  Your family picture will take place during your Santa session/time—a quick and easy way to get that one family picture you need for holiday cards, the year, season, etc.
  • LOCATION: Old Bradfordville Schoolhouse.  6808 Beech Ridge Trail, Tallahassee, FL 32312
  • DATE: 2024 Date TBD
  • COST: $195, personalized experience with Santa and 3 digital files to download. Option to upgrade to more files or prints.

When was the last time you looked at an old family photo and thought, `I wish fewer people were in this`?

Probably never.

That is exactly why I always say yes when families ask whether they should include the grandparents, the cousins, the aunt and uncle who are only in town for a few days.

When you are not sure, say yes anyway. We will find a way to make it work.

When you are not sure, say yes anyway. We will find a way to make it work.

A few things I want every family to know before a multigenerational session.

Start with the group shot - always. I photograph the full group first, before anything else, so every person in attendance (including the ones who drove the farthest) knows the most important image is already done. From there, we move through smaller groupings with a lighter energy.

Tell me about mobility before we choose a location. If a grandparent or family member has any physical considerations, I need to know before we land on a spot. There is always a way to create beautiful images that honor everyone present - I just need to know what we are working with so I can plan for it.

Mornings are almost always better for the little ones. Babies and toddlers are near-universally happier before the afternoon hits. When multiple generations are present, timing the session well makes a real difference in the energy of the whole group.

And if there are any family dynamics I should be aware of - specific pairings that need extra care, or groupings you would prefer I not suggest - please tell me. It keeps everything moving warmly, and it protects everyone from an awkward moment in front of the camera.
