LeahSarah is wildly talented. I really can’t recommend her enough!
"She beautifully captured the real essence of our fun"What People are Saying
RachelFrom the initial phone call to delivery of my beautiful album, Sarah made the entire process of taking family photos so easy. During our session she effortlessly posed and prompted us. She was kind and patient with my little ones. Photographing kids, especially a 6 month old and 3 year old, is not easy, but Sarah delivered over 100 breathtaking photos! I was in tears watching the slideshow. And I'm so glad that she offered a print credit because I never would have thought to order an album, but the album is now one of my most treasured possession that I will grab if our house ever catches on fire

LeahShe has consistently put this mama at ease during what may otherwise have been anxious moments with babies, toddlers, and a sleep-deprived postpartum body. I feel attractive when Sarah photographs me as she is a wonder with positioning and placement, and the event is always peaceful. Sarah is highly professional while also personable, and is so great with my kids.
ElizabethSarah has captured the sweetest moments in my life & I will always cherish the beautiful photos she has given us. From maternity shoots, bringing home babies & newborn shoots, to a lifestyle session in our first home. I can never get those moments back & I'm beyond grateful someone so loving & inviting was there to capture them!
AmyWe cherish the pictures Sarah takes for us...they help us to reminisce about a time that might have otherwise been forgotten. People, have a good photographer in your pocket. And when I mean good I mean one that not only takes a good picture, but one who loves their subject, too. I usually leave sessions with Sarah believing she loves my kids almost as much as I do.
AshleySarah has captured our family so well and given us photos that we will always treasure. She is great with kids and was even able to get our reluctant toddler to participate and smile. The poses she chose for us were very flattering, and she made me feel confident in front of the camera for our newborn photo shoot when I was one week postpartum. I highly recommend working with her!
StephanieSarah has such a talent for capturing precious family moments! She was able to photograph our overly tired 3 month old beautifully (I was nervous because he hadn’t napped)! When we got the gallery back, we couldn’t pick a favorite ... She has such patience with the little ones & true talent for photography. Thank you, Sarah! We can’t wait for our other baby plan sessions.
JesseVery professional, on time, super friendly and personable. She worked well with our kids, taking her time and ensuring everyone was comfortable and was able to help calm little ones who weren't so sure they wanted their photo done. We proudly display a 20x30 sized framed version of our family photo on our wall at home. Thank you Sarah Gray Photography

There are certain places that just make everything easier.

The light falls right. The space feels calm. The family relaxes without even realizing it.

I have been thinking a lot lately about the locations I keep coming back to, and what it is about them that works. Some are outdoors with gorgeous natural canopy and soft, open light. Some are quieter, more tucked away. Some I discovered by accident and now I wouldn't trade them.

What they all have in common is this: they feel true to the families I photograph here in Tallahassee and the surrounding area. Unhurried. Warm. Real. Give me all the "old Florida" vibes.

Swipe through to see a few of my favorites right now. Do you have a favorite spot around Tallahassee, or somewhere nearby that means something to your family? I would genuinely love to hear it - drop it in the comments or send me a message. I am always looking to grow this list.

Seen here are Goodwood Museum and Gardens, St. Theresa, Summer Camp Beach, Park Avenue Chain of Parks, and Dorothy B. Oven Park.
That’s not a filter. That’s the finish.

Editing isn’t about fixing something that went wrong, it’s the last step in creating the image. The light, the color, the feeling. It all comes together in the edit.

Raw files are a little like unfinished film negatives. They’re where we start, not where we land. What you receive is the image as it was always meant to look.

This is the part of the work I genuinely love. And it shows up in every single image I deliver.
