Holiday Mini Sessions! 1

I am so very excited to offer this to you this year.  I’ve not done mini sessions before and am pumped to see how this goes.  The sessions will be photographed between 5:30 and 7:00 at the beautiful, Miller’s Landing down Meridian Road… which is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in town.  The details for the mini sessions are below. I also tried to make these as appealing as possible by offering photo Christmas cards for you ready to send… how simple is that?!?!

First, pick your day:

  • Thursday, November 1
  • Friday, November 2

Next, pick your time:  this will be a subject to availability between 5:30-7:00

Finally, pick your package:

Package 1:

  • 20 custom designed photo cards similar in style to the flyer above
  • 11×14″ wall print
  • online gallery
  • 50% off additional prints from your session
  • $10 print credit for each referral you send that books a session before 12/31/12

Package 2:

  • 8 digital images with photo print releases
  • online gallery
  • 50% off additional prints from your session
  • $10 print credit for each referral you send that books a session before 12/31/12

Something I want you to sit with for a second:

The photos from your fall session are going to be on your walls this winter. They`re going to be on holiday cards that go out to people you love. They`re going to be framed, printed, passed down.

Years from now, your kids are going to look at those images and see themselves at this exact age, in this exact season of life.

You won`t remember how uncertain you felt picking outfits. You won`t remember the logistics. You`ll just be grateful you have them.

That`s why I do this work. And it`s why I always tell the families I photograph: you have so much joy ahead of you. Let`s make sure you have the photos to prove it.

There are certain places that just make everything easier.

The light falls right. The space feels calm. The family relaxes without even realizing it.

I have been thinking a lot lately about the locations I keep coming back to, and what it is about them that works. Some are outdoors with gorgeous natural canopy and soft, open light. Some are quieter, more tucked away. Some I discovered by accident and now I wouldn`t trade them.

What they all have in common is this: they feel true to the families I photograph here in Tallahassee and the surrounding area. Unhurried. Warm. Real. Give me all the "old Florida" vibes.

Editing isn’t about fixing something that went wrong, it’s the last step in creating the image. The light, the color, the feeling. It all comes together in the edit.

Raw files are a little like unfinished film negatives. They’re where we start, not where we land. What you receive is the image as it was always meant to look.

This is the part of the work I genuinely love. And it shows up in every single image I deliver.
