Maclay Gardens Mini Sessions, April 11th only!

Maclay Gardens has come alive with the kind of soft, pastel color that only exists for a brief, beautiful window each spring. It is the sort of setting that makes you want to press pause on everything – the packed calendar, the to-do list, the ordinary Tuesday – and simply be present with the people you love most.

That is exactly what I want to help you do on April 11.

Maclay Gardens Mini Sessions

This is a session designed for real families, at the most beautiful time of year

Maclay Gardens in full bloom is not something that can be recreated or rescheduled for a more convenient season. The color, the light, the soft floral backdrop – it is here now, and it will be gone before we know it. April 11 is a fixed date, and I only have 5 spots available for families to step into that setting with me.

When those 5 spots are filled, that is it for these spring petite sessions.

Here is what is included when you claim your spot:

  • A focused 5-7 minute session at Maclay Gardens surrounded by spring blooms
  • A wardrobe guide sent in advance so your family looks beautifully coordinated in this setting
  • An online preview gallery where you will select your 3 favorite images for digital download
  • Photos delivered within 2 weeks of your session date, ready to share, print, and display in your home

Your total investment is $275, with a $150 retainer due at booking to secure your spot and the remaining $125 due 7 days before your session.

One more thing worth considering before you book

When you see your full gallery, you may find yourself wanting more than 3 images – and that is a wonderful problem to have. If you choose to upgrade to your full gallery of 5-10 images after your session, that option is available for $200. But if you decide now, before your session date, you can add the full gallery upgrade for $100 off – a meaningful savings for images you will treasure for years to come.

It is entirely your choice, and there is no pressure either way. I just want you to know the option exists so you can make the decision that feels right for your family.

Maclay Gardens Mini Sessions

If you have been wanting to work together and have been waiting for the right moment, this is a lovely one. A short, joyful session, a stunning spring setting, and a simple, accessible investment – it really does not get much easier than this.

Sarah Gray is an award-winning Tallahassee photographer specializing in soft, natural lifestyle sessions for families, newborns, maternity, and headshots across North Florida and South Georgia. A Master Photographer certified by the National Association of Professional Child Photographers since 2022, Sarah has been recognized among the best Tallahassee family photographers by Peerspace, holds a 5-star rating on Google reviews , and is listed member of among Professional Photographers of America. With 15 years helping North Florida and South Georgia families pause the beautiful, ordinary chaos of everyday life and hold onto it, every session is an invitation to feel seen, celebrated, and cared for — not just photographed.

Her clients love that not only do they get digital files from their session but artwork to display in their home.

Sarah serves Tallahassee, Thomasville, Gulf Coast, and Forgotten Coast communities including: Bainbridge, St. Theresa, Moultrie, Monticello, Appalachicola, St. Marks, Crawfordville, Wakulla, Aligator Point, and Gainesville.

There are certain places that just make everything easier.

The light falls right. The space feels calm. The family relaxes without even realizing it.

I have been thinking a lot lately about the locations I keep coming back to, and what it is about them that works. Some are outdoors with gorgeous natural canopy and soft, open light. Some are quieter, more tucked away. Some I discovered by accident and now I wouldn't trade them.

What they all have in common is this: they feel true to the families I photograph here in Tallahassee and the surrounding area. Unhurried. Warm. Real. Give me all the "old Florida" vibes.

Swipe through to see a few of my favorites right now. Do you have a favorite spot around Tallahassee, or somewhere nearby that means something to your family? I would genuinely love to hear it - drop it in the comments or send me a message. I am always looking to grow this list.

Seen here are Goodwood Museum and Gardens, St. Theresa, Summer Camp Beach, Park Avenue Chain of Parks, and Dorothy B. Oven Park.
That’s not a filter. That’s the finish.

Editing isn’t about fixing something that went wrong, it’s the last step in creating the image. The light, the color, the feeling. It all comes together in the edit.

Raw files are a little like unfinished film negatives. They’re where we start, not where we land. What you receive is the image as it was always meant to look.

This is the part of the work I genuinely love. And it shows up in every single image I deliver.
