Just the other night my son pulled out one of our photo albums from before he was born. He loved seeing pictures of me and his dad when we were just the two of us. Often times, when he needs to feel connection, he'll find me and ask if I want to look at his baby pictures with him. Um... yes, buddy... always.
My kids love reliving memories by looking at photographs and I know they aren't alone in that. In fact, it's suggested that displaying family photos in your home helps to boost a child's self esteem. David Krauss, licensed psychologist, says that it's "helpful for children to see themselves as a valued and important part of that family unit. A photographer’s job is to create and make the image look like a safe holding space for kids where they are safe and protected."
